    Well, somebody’s a little peeved.

I love my iPhone 4!! I’m also left-handed and I’ve tried holding it with a firm grip from the left bottom corner and nothing happens. Still have five or four bars in my house. No screen discoloration either. Mine is working fine! I’ve got no complaints. It beats my friend’s EVO 4G!

    • 3 Girl Gamer June 26, 2010 at 3:22 am

how does it beat the EVO, when the Evo has faster download speeds, can videochat almost anywhere (no wifi necessary), plus it has flash, your probably an apple fanboy.

      • 4 Snowy June 26, 2010 at 11:21 am

How about the batteries issues on EVO??? You forgot to mention it. Yes it will KILL your batteries and you will eat your own words.

I love the iPhone. However, ever since I have loaded OS 4 on my 3G devise, it has real slos and now just looking for ways go back to oS 3

  4. 7 Random dude June 25, 2010 at 10:46 pm

Whatever gets people to your anti-apple site, I guess.

Unfortunately the photo is pretty much unreadable on an iPad. Next time you try making fun of a company, at least make it look nice. The resolution is terrible. Maybe on your windows PC it looks ok, but not on my device.

  5. 11 John June 25, 2010 at 10:52 pm

Man, I think you should’ve used your Photoshop (or whichever program you used) skills to make more worthy things.

  6. 12 killarshark33 June 25, 2010 at 11:11 pm

hmmm mine has none of these problems so must just be some phones o well.

  7. 13 Yukio Ito June 25, 2010 at 11:19 pm

    It’s simple issue !
Nobody of RF engineer are existing in Apple, since everybody of
RF engineer could know this kind of antenna problem on
this type of antenna construction if they design such an antenna
on the case, and they can easy to find such a problem before
    lease the product.

  8. 14 Charles June 25, 2010 at 11:29 pm

I love how whatever is great and popular, everyone has to harp on, every single thing created has had a shipment or two that are defective, Apple has said, if there are ANY problems with your phone, come in, and get a new one free, Apple is number one when it comes to customer service and customer experience, I don’t understand why they get bullied so much, lets just enjoy our awesome new iPhone! thats what I’m gonna go do, bye :)

    • 15 KH June 26, 2010 at 7:11 pm

Well you only get this kind of press when you are a leader and innovator. There are folks that will exploit your faults. I have the latest model too and I love it. While not perfect Apple is expecting these things to happen. Only leaders have faults published for all to see. Google “Evo Issues” and you’ll see that phone has problems too. Thing is no one even cares. LOL

  9. 16 Steve Jobs June 26, 2010 at 1:53 am

Expect some communication from our legal division over this.

    Haters gonna hate.

    • 17 Kees Hoovers June 26, 2010 at 6:41 am

Haters gona hate… well, it’s not about hate with me.
      I’m left-handed but I can adjust left-handed issues.

Things you should know: 10%-15% of the world is left handed. Even more creatives (40%) are left handed (but still the majority is right handed).

Though, by developing a next generation iPhone you should consider this left-handed issue.

Never te less: the new iPhone is awesome!

    • 18 sccdare18 June 26, 2010 at 7:59 pm

i wonder if you would pay attention to this post because its true and he is exposing the fopas?

    • 19 fineline January 2, 2011 at 11:59 am

Mr. Jobs it is honorable to attempt to protect your product, it’s really understandable. I admire you for that and that only!

With all the disasters that have befallen the Iphone4, just not the antennae issue, but the glass and also the three alarm issues. It is only right for you to love a problem child.

I wanted an Iphone4, I really did but I decided to buy the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 despite the Iphone4 looking pretty, I cannot imagine taking a champagne glass around waiting for it to smash. It’s OK to threaten the writer with your legal department but I say only a father can love a child even though it has defects.

PS Does not your constitution of the United States offer Freedom of Speech? We say it as it is!

  10. 20 Paulie June 26, 2010 at 2:01 am

Random Dude’s right, the text is so bad in this childish rant, I could barely read it. And what’s the deal with the reversed volume buttons? Mine aren’t reversed… weird.

I admit, it’s well written ignoring the content, I cracked up over some of the statements, but it’s sad that someone has nothing else to offer this planet. The way the iPhone is designed in its user interface is so sleek and basically blows away all the other devices BECAUSE of the fantastic UI. I call all the other smart phones a “brick of confusion”, because you’re stuck with those annoying OSs. Tried ‘em all, you can have ‘em.

So, this rant is a time-waster… my one question: would you give one or two arms to invent a device that requires major cities to bring out extra police force to handle the crowds that have camped out for two days, with each new version?

The color of envy is ugly.

  11. 21 Mook June 26, 2010 at 6:32 am

I find it funny that everyone is a critic on the iPhone and pretty much apple products in general. Phones like the evo 4g and the droid wouldn’t even be what they are if apple didn’t set the standard on what a phone should be. However when it comes to any type of product each brand of phone has perks and flaws. In my opinion the iPhone has the least flaws o any smart phone on the market!!!

  12. 22 Killer June 26, 2010 at 8:05 am

Seems like the dude did a lot of work, and when Steve spoke, he just vanished. Does not have the guts to be there to reply to that. If you are so sure of all this, why are you afraid of this. Looks like someone wants traffic by making false claims…

  13. 24 marc June 26, 2010 at 9:06 am

hehe this is really great :D

  14. 25 Philip June 26, 2010 at 9:18 am

I’m sure you put a lot of thought into bashing the new iPhone. And it would be great to actually read what you wrote in your mock apple advertisement. But alas, you know nothing of resolution and readability so you pretty much just wasted your time. Next time, make sure your image output is big enough for the naked eye to read and try using Photoshop instead of Microsoft Paint.

  15. 26 mike860 June 26, 2010 at 9:54 am

I have never seen any negatives in my iPhone and am happy with what i get.

  16. 27 Ranziy June 26, 2010 at 10:05 am

Heh heh… This stuff works fine on a jailbroken iPhone, though!

  17. 28 Steven June 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm

    Guys and gals,
The only reason people put down the iphone is because of your comments. Iphone/apple users all feel as if their stuff is the best and newest and that it saved the world. The simple truth is that power users have had everything the newest apple device has for months or years. Apple has only made it mainstream by making it simple to use for those who aren’t technically adept. They do this by dumbing down options and taking away choices from those who would usually make bad ones. (having too many apps running at once, installing crap programs, attempting video calls on a slow network…). We point out apple flaws just so you know that….. My pocket pc in 2002 could play flash games… I don’t want your stinking iphone, so stop telling me how awesome it is, we all feel bad for you ;)

    • 29 sccdare18 June 26, 2010 at 8:10 pm

oh my god!!! i think you deserve a reward for that well put diagnosys of what apple iphones really are. ubuntu products do apple and microsoft plus more SINCE THE 80′S!!! hence linux based phones (fully customizable) android/google!!! EVERYONE READ THIS AND ABOVE COMMENT. ESPECIALLY YOU JOBS!!! LOL.

    • 30 Sergio June 28, 2010 at 9:06 pm

AMEN! :) Someone finally makes sense with nothing but the TRUTH. It’s not that I don’t like the iphone, but I won’t buy it precisely because of what Steven says.

  18. 31 Charles June 26, 2010 at 1:31 pm

Steven, I completely disagree with you. All of the things you mentioned, like video calling and too many apps, what Apple does is take the crap that other companies create and streamline it so it actually WORKS. Yeah, you’ve had video conferencing for years, but reliably? that you know will always work? no, not at all, everything on those phones is do it and pray it works, whereas Apple, it just WORKS. and who the hell wants Flash on their phone? its buggy, slow, and unreliable, and Apple is about things that work, so you can feel bad us, but we all feel worse for you ;)

    • 32 Rob June 28, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Ha ha ha, that’s hilarious! Nice excuse generation there Charles, there must be an app for that! I have been using non-Apple phones for years that did more than than the I-Phone does now. And they did it all very, very well. AND they had swappable batteries. AND they had memory cards. AND they never tried to manipulate me the way Apple does its customers. AND they never tried to brainwash me into becoming a fanboy.

    • 34 Austin June 29, 2010 at 11:23 pm

I’m running flash on my phone right now and its working really well. No its not as smooth as it would be on a pc but it sure beats no flash at all.

    • 35 Wes Garner July 6, 2010 at 4:07 pm

Yea… anyone know why the iPhone doesn’t have flash?
They kinda pissed of Adobe more than any other company has ever gotten pissed off at Apple…
I don’t see Flash coming to the iPhone for a pretty long time

For Android, Flash was supposed to come around the time of Gingerbread – funny now that Apple has pissed off Adobe, it’s already in FroYo now ha

A couple examples, Apple wrote this about Adobe… Has anyone seen the source code for the iPhone? I haven’t! So… I guess Apple isn’t 100% open either is it?
      http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/

Then… the article everyone knows about:
      http://techcrunch.com/2010/04/08/adobe-flash-apple-sdk/

  19. 36 Janet June 26, 2010 at 3:38 pm

I found the graphic easy to read on my iMac. I also found it humorous. It’s a shame that people are on here whining about how Apple is always getting attacked. They need to take their heads out of their butts long enough to see that all corporations get attacked, both rightly & wrongly, whenever a new product is released. It’s a fact of corporate life. Anyhow, keep up the good job with this blog. I may be an Apple fangirl, but I still have a sense of humor.

    • 37 Jamie August 30, 2010 at 5:20 am

Yes, we should all have a sense of humor and I do find this article funny!
Just had to write that in case you people star thinking that i’m biased.

  20. 38 eYe June 26, 2010 at 3:55 pm

I just set up my son’s iPod Touch and I couldn’t believe how annoying and confusing it was. It doesn’t “just work”, it takes time to learn it. Not to mention the fact that I couldn do anything until I downloaded that bloatware they call iTunes. On the other hand, it took me less then 10 min to figure out my first Android phone because it just made sense. I agree, ipod (and I imagine iphone) function very nicely doing the limited things that they can do but think I’m going to stick with my Androids. I’m not a techie, not a hater, I really considered iphone 4 but interface is too simple, set-up is awfull and app store is too cluttered with useless junk. Enjoy your iphones, we’ll talk again this time next year

  21. 39 Karla Lara June 26, 2010 at 6:33 pm

i don’t think there would be any such thing as android phones if it wasnt for the apple iphone.. or at least not how they are now. when i picked up my friends droid i knew how to work it because it was VERYYYYYYYYY similar to the first generation iphone that came out 3 years ago, i’m sticking with apple.

  22. 40 avialzhang June 26, 2010 at 8:19 pm

When will be available in Aisa…

  23. 41 D. June 27, 2010 at 2:23 am

whats with people having heated debates over which freaking phone is better … we are all different and hence we all have different wants, needs, and tastes. Get the fuck over it, some people will love the iphone 4 and some people will hate on it. You have the right to your own opinion and the right to free speech… it’s just pretty funny to see what people choose to exercise that right on. I really don’t see how spending time and energy hating on a product you clearly don’t like gets your rocks off … let it be, if people want to buy it let them. You don’t have to like it but why put so much effort in bashing it… what do you gain ?

  24. 42 Lozil June 28, 2010 at 4:34 am

Awesome…. All the truth that actually matters is in there….

  25. 43 Cal June 28, 2010 at 10:45 am

I absolutely hate the proximity sensor issue. Not only does this iPhone 4 force you to hold it a certain way to not block receptions but it also forces you to hold the ear piece right on your ear. My cheek now puts the phone on mute, activates the speaker phone, opens contacts, tries to initiate a facetime call, etc…I’ve never had a problem like this with my 3G S.

  26. 44 Charles June 28, 2010 at 3:38 pm

Rob, just because PC people label everyone who owns an Apple product as a “fanboy” does not mean we all are. It really is personal preference, and I just think its crazy how we all get thrown into this “Apple category” I’m not here to stand up for the iPhone, I’m here to say that this posting is dumb, LOL since most of these problems happened only to a small number of people that Apple has already given new phones to, its just bad form is all I’m saying. I own a PC, I use it, but I also have a Mac so I can edit video and create motion graphics. Again, its all personal preference.

  27. 45 Santana June 28, 2010 at 9:24 pm

It’s like a religious, they hate when the other make mistake. This is to prove that their religion is the right one. They are ashamed if they see others do beautiful thing. This to prove that they’ve took the wrong beliefs.

    Hi

When you purchase any Mobile Phone first we need to think how good this phone in signal strength IPHONE is bad in signal utter flap phone on this earth , then what is the purpose of inventing the phone which have lot of capabilities in it. Why do I have to buy another cover which improve the signal. I hope very poor research engg working in Apple who is not even taking care of the basic purpose of the phone
First I need to say Steve jobs is failed to put the research in right area, when my phone is not serving the basic purpose then what is point if my phone have lot many features. Battery backup was too bad it sucks every time I have to carry my charger all the time.
I purchased iphone 3gs when it’s released in India 3 months back it cost to me around $900 35500 INR , the reason I have invested on this phone only the trust which I have on apple later I have realized that its big pain , I have almost 60% drop calls and very poor battery backup and not even solving my basic needs.
Before this phone I used black berry curve which has no issue I have very good signal strength lovely phone which I never experienced the dropped call at all .
Steve please think about basic need of the phone instead of hyping you product. Because people are investing huge on the mobile devices and apple is just not justifying at all
I am truly disappointed that I wasted my $900 dollars , it’s not wasted my money I don’t like the people who do the business by hyping their product again another iphone 4 to this world is not required .
I will challenge to apple if you lunch the iphone 10 you will still not improve the basic purpose of the phone .

    Raju

  29. 47 Jorge July 1, 2010 at 12:56 am

Well I don’t have the iPhone 4. I rather have an Android over an iPhone! I’m hypocrite lol.

  30. 48 Steveass July 21, 2010 at 6:27 am

It doesn’t matter if apple fix, accept return or even recall the iphone 4. the point is Apple lied.
this is the first time apple made a casing for the iphone. They knew the problem before releasing it on the market That’s why Steve instantly replied to an email suggesting not to hold it that way without having performed a thorough inspection.
I will never buy a product from a company that is not honest, not accepting and blaming others for mistakes and most of all, exploiting workers for letting them work over 30 hours straight and not well paid.
A company’s credibility may be reflected from it’s products but other aspects such as marketing and after-market consumer satisfaction plays a big role as well.
When a company considers their product as one that has the best quality in the market; the services and consumer support must be provided with top quality.
In addition, believing that one’s product is of high qualifications, comparisons with other products must not be a way to shield one’s own downfall.
For me, Apple’s products does not strike me as the best or one of the best since the first and only Apple item that I have owned, an ipod, showed very poor quality with having dead pixels on the screen.
This only justifies that most consumers purchase products due to its physical aspects and being an item that is a “fad” and not because of a products’ overall performance.
Or probably Steve Job’s sales talk made an influence as he has great marketing skills—which make people believe that multi-tasking, video chat and copy /paste were invented by Apple.

Steve jobs also said “what would you prefer? That we were a korean company, that we were here in America leading the world with these products… maybe it’s just that people want to get eyeballs on their sites.”
A4 processor of iphone 4 is made by samsung (Korean Company).

Some may have their own opinions about this matter which contradicts my point of view but I sure know that there are people who share the same thoughts that I have about this situation.
